In the latest installment of KFF’s Greater Than HIV and CDC’s Let’s Stop HIV Together video series on sexual health, Charlene Flash, MD, MPH, joins to discuss women and HIV!

From why women need to know about PrEP, to preventing HIV transmission during pregnancy, to taking your power back and more, Dr. Flash covers it all in these easy-to-understand one-minute explainer videos. Watch & share.


An infectious disease physician, Dr. Flash is president and CEO of Avenue 360 Health and Wellness, a Federally Qualified Health Center based in Houston, Texas, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Disease at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Flash’s videos are the latest addition to the growing library of HIV explainer videos from leading public health experts produced by KFF with CDC. All videos are available rights-free for educational use.

Share on social media. The videos come in both horizontal (16×9) formats and vertical (9×16) formats, preferred for TikTok, Facebook / Instagram Stories and Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Remember to tag #GreaterThanHIV and #StopHIVTogether!
